Stay and Play

Parents/carers are encouraged to put their names down for sessions in which their children attend to provide them with an unique opportunity to "Stay and Play" with their child.   In our experience parents/carers enjoy and benefit greatly from this experience, as well as the children.  If you are interested in our "Stay and Play" scheme you can find a list of term dates on the notice board outside pre-school, so you may add your name at a date convenient to you.
What are the benefits to you?
"Stay and Play" enables you to experience first hand what the playgroup environment of Jack and Jill can offer your child.  You can get involved with the activities, see how playschool operates and get to know the staff better.

What are the benefits to your child?
If you "Stay and Play" your child will really enjoy showing you around, introducing you to their teachers and friends, and enjoy undertaking tasks with you which usually helps boost their self-esteem.

Parents/carers stay and play experiences:

Dad of 3 year old says -
"I had a really great morning sharing my daughter's time at school. I was so proud to be there and to see her interact and play with the other children. I was very impressed with the teachers and the way that they run the class and interact with the children. I loved it!"

Clare says - "It was fantastic to see Eddie playing and interacting with children and adults in a different environment to home. He clearly loves his sessions at Jack & Jill."

Simon says - "What a fantastic morning.  It certainly opened my
eyes to how grown up Francesca is and how far she's developed in such a short time.  It's not often you can indulge in a whole morning just playing, reading books and observing just little things like listening in to her conversations and understanding how she responds in an environment like playgroup - it was all brilliant and I left a very proud father."

Lisa says - "I was made to feel very welcome by all the staff.  It was lovely to watch my child happily playing and learning.  I now have a good idea of the routine at playgroup and will have a better understanding when my child tells me about her day."
