Please find below some of our Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: When are sessions run at Jack and Jill?

A: We run morning and afternoon sessions on weekdays.

Q: What age can my child start at Jack and Jill?

A: Children can attend Jack and Jill from 2 years 6 months up to school age.

Q: How much do sessions cost at Jack and Jill?

A: Nursery Education Grant funded places are available from the term after children reach their third birthday. For children who cannot claim funding the fee is currently £9.50 per 3 hour session. A one off registration fee of £10 also applies.

Q: What is offered in each session?

A: Creative activities such as painting and playdough are included in the free play, and there are additional creative activities each week such as making collages, baking and growing plants.

Q: How do I put my child down for a place at Jack and Jill?

A: It is advisable to get your child's name on the waiting list; application forms are available at playgroup. Alternatively you are welcome to apply by e-mail giving your child's name, date of birth, and your name, address and telephone number.

Q: What policies do Jack and Jill follow?

A: Our policy statements are available for inspection at the playgroup, or can be sent out by request. All our policies are designed to offer the best possible experience for all the children and families in the group. They are reviewed on a regular basis and comments and suggestions are always welcome.

Q: When can my child return to Jack and Jill after illness?

A: If your child has .......

Chickenpox: Return to playschool when the last blister has scabbed over.

Head Lice: Return once the head and hair has been treated and cleared.

Conjunctivitus: Return once the discharge has stopped.

Diarrhoea: Return 48 hours after the last loose stool.

Sickness: Return 48 hours after the last vomit.

Please let us know if your child is suffering from any of the above as we like to inform parents where possible of ailments that are "going around".
